Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondent and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.
2. The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus simplicitor directing the sole responent - Sub-Collector, Tindivanam to issue death certificate in respect of the petitioner's grand father one Ramasamy Gounder, who is stated to have been passed away on 20.05.2007.
3. The petitioner has also made an application on 18.06.2020 making the same request pointing out that the Village Administrative Officer and the Revenue Inspector have recommended the issuance of death certificate vide proceedings dated 28.10.2020 and 17.11.2020 respectively.
4. Mr.Muhilan, learned counsel for the respondent has no objection to the mandamus being issued for consideration of the request in accordance with law.
5. Hence, mandamus as sought for is issued to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 18.06.2020 bearing in mind the recommendations of the Village Administrative Officer and Revenue Inspector, hear the petitioner as well as any other persons, who may be thought fit and necessary, consider the supporting the materials, if any, filed by the petitioner and dispose the same/issue the certificate in accordance with law and all Pg.No.2/4
prevailing Rules and Regulations, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from today.
