Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to approve the application for pension made by the petitioner dated 23.01.2014 and to sanction and disburse the pension amount from the date of application. Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to approve the application for pension made by the petitioner dated 23.01.2014 and to sanction and disburse the pension amount from the date of application.

3. It is claimed by the petitioner that he is a member of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Welfare Board and submitted an application for approval of pension on 23.01.2014. It is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

further claimed that the said application returned was represented again, after making necessary compliance on 11.09.2016. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said application has not been considered so far.

This Court at this stage is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents, more particularly, the second respondent to consider and decide the same. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of only by directing the second respondent to consider the said application and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
