: Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.09.2023 and to further direct the respondents to initiate the expeditious deployment of the Mobile Veterinary Clinics in the State of Tamil Nadu with immediate effect.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.S.Srivatsa, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader, for respondents 1, 3, 4 and Mr.Rajesh Vivekanathan, learned Deputy Solicitor-General, for the second respondent.

2. The writ petition is filed purportedly in public interest. The petitioner seeks directions to initiate expeditious deployment of the Mobile Veterinary Clinics in the State of Tamil Nadu.

3. Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader, submits that about 245 mobile veterinary units were purchased. Upon the finalisation of a service provider, the same would be made effective and operational. The learned Special Government Pleader submits that in all probability, within three months, the said 245 mobile veterinary units would be made functional. The said statement is accepted.

4. In view of the said statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
