This petition seeks to set aside the order passed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai, refusing to extend the time for the 1/4
petitioner to execute sureties, pursuant to the anticipatory bail order of the Court below, granted in Crl.M.P.No.27355 of 2024 dated 03.10.2024.
2. The learned Sessions Judge dismissed the petition stating that the petitioner had not sought for extension of time within the time granted by the Court and had filed the petition belatedly without giving sufficient reasons for the delay.
3. Though the order of the learned Sessions Judge cannot be faulted, this Court is of the view that, since the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail, one more opportunity can be given to execute sureties. Hence, further time of two weeks is granted for executing the sureties as directed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai.
4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
