..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to pass appropriate order by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2024 for grant of Non-Judicial Stamp papers, for a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- paid through Challan No.20240202019056, dated 02.02.2024 as mistakenly noted for judicial stamp papers instead of Non-Judicial Stamp papers. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents 2 and 3 to pass appropriate orders by considering her representation dated 27.02.2024.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she applied for supply of NonJudicial stamp papers for value of Rs.5,00,000/- on 02.02.2024 through online vide E-Challan No.20240202019056. It is also admitted by the petitioner that at the time of application through online, instead of non-judicial stamp papers, the petitioner had mistakenly applied for judicial stamp papers. Immediately after realizing the mistake, the petitioner submitted a representation on 27.02.2024 before the 3rd respondent seeking supply of non-judicial stamp papers for the value of Rs.5,00,000/-(rupees five lakhs only) instead of judicial stamp papers by making necessary changes. The representation was received by the 3rd respondent and ticket number was given as INC000003367865. However, the representation submitted by the petitioner has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 2/5

3. Mr.V.Jeevagiridharan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4, submits that representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered by competent authority namely the 2nd respondent, in accordance with law.

From the narration of events, it is clear that the petitioner wanted to apply for non-judicial stamp papers for the value of Rs.5,00,000/-.At the time of submitting application through online, she mistakenly applied for judicial stamp papers. Therefore, the petitioner submitted instant representation seeking rectification of mistake and supply of non-judicial stamp papers. The respondents shall consider the representation submitted by the petitioner sympathetically and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

5. Therefore, as a competent authority, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
