ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to accept the petitioner's application dated 27.08.2015 and 03.10.205 and call the petitioner for an interview for the post of Typist.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he applied for the post of Typist pursuant to the advertisement No.2/2015 dated 17.08.2015 called by the respondent University. However, by inadvertance, he did not point out that he has submitted English Higher and English Lower Certificate instead of sending Tamil Lower Certificate along with English Higher Certificate.

3. Realizing her mistake, he immediately addressed communication on 03.10.2015 to the respondents along with the correct Certificate.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that thereafter he has not received any response from the respondent University, despite having sending several representations to the respondent University as well as the Chief Minister Special Cell.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent.

6. It is submitted that Advertisement No.2/2015, pursuant to which, the petitioner made an application itself has been dropped and a fresh selection process has been initiated.

7. The petitioner would be entitled to participate and make an application for the available vacancies and the earlier rejection or inaction on the part of the respondent University to consider his application will not be put against him.

8. With these observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 28.06.2023 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order arb 3/5
