ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of the writ of mandamus to protect the petitioner's right to worship. 3/6

2. The petitioner grievance is that he has been excommunicated by the villagers, thereby preventing him from offering worship. Hence he seeks permission to worship the deity.

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the temple in question is originally Nagathamma temple. However, the petitioner attempted to install and worship another deity, which was objected by the villagers. Consequently, the revenue authorities intervened, removed the said statue and kept it in the Taluk Office and hence, the petitioner has come up with the false allegations.

Upon considering the above submissions, and on perusal of the entire records, this Court is of the view that mere shake of the petitioner's allegation, such blanket direction as sought for can not be issued by this Court. Let the Revenue Divisional Officer shall consider and decide any law and order issue, in accordance with law and the police authorities shall also take suitable action as per law.
