The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 379, 430 IPC and Section 21(1) of Mines and Minerals Development Regulation Act 1957 in Crime No.285 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the respondent is that the petitioner was found in possession of 2 bags of 25 kgs each total 50 kgs of river sand in TVS XL two wheeler. There are 12 previous cases against the petitioner herein out of which 9 are of similar in nature.

3. It is clear that the petitioner is in the habit of transporting illegal sand, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Petition stands dismissed.
