O R D E R

(This case has been heard through video conferencing) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents police to provide police protection to the petitioner by considering the representation dated 30.11.2019 given by the petitioner.

2. Despite repeated adjournments, there is no representation on the side of the petitioner. Heard Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

3. Today when the petition is came up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 on instructions would submit that on receipt of the representation dated 30.11.2019 given by the petitioner, the second respondent herein initiated an enquiry in CSR.No.2409 of 2019 and after due enquiry, the same has been closed on 15.12.2019. According to him, as of now, no representation as alleged to be given by the petitioner is pending on the file of the second respondent police. The said submission is recorded.

4. Therefore, in view of the above, in the absence of any representation, this Court is not in a position to pass any positive order in favour of the petitioner.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
