Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the 3rd respondent to produce the body of the detenues, namely, Kamalanathan, S/o.Narayanasamy, aged about about 56 years and Manikandan, S/o.Kamalanathan, aged about 29 years before this Court, now they are detained under the illegal custody in the hands of 3rd respondent and to set them at liberty. [Order of this Court was made by R.SUBBIAH,J.] This petition is filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the third respondent to produce the body of the detenues, namely, Kamalanathan, S/o.Narayanasamy, aged about about 56 years and Manikandan, S/o.Kamalanathan, aged about 29 years before this Court, now they are detained under the illegal custody in the hands of the third respondent and to set them at liberty. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. When the petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents submitted that, the first detenu was remanded to judicial custody in Crime No.681 of 2019 for the alleged offences under Sections 420, 294(b), 506(i) of IPC r/w Sections 3 and 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003. The second detenu was remanded to judicial custody in Crime No.748 of 2019 for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of TNPHW Act. Both of them were produced before the learned V Additional Metropolitan Magistrate on 05.12.2019 and remanded to judicial custody.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
