ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed alleging inaction on the part of the respondent authorities on the allegation of irregularities being committed in execution of public works. The affidavit filed by the respondents shows that show-cause notice was issued on 22.11.2023 and the matter is pending consideration.

2. We are of the view that enough time has already been consumed by the authorities and it is high time that inquiry should be completed.

3. The District Collector, Chengalpattu District, is directed to conclude the inquiry and pass orders one way or the other within an outer time limit of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
