O R D E R
By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider his representation dated 24.04.2023 seeking restoration of Electricity Supply in Connection No.077-022-320, within the time fixed by this Court.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's father was charged with theft of energy and service connection was disconnected based on the said charge. It is stated by the petitioner that his father died on 04.05.2021 and the petitioner is noway connected with the allegations of theft. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the 3rd respondent on 24.04.2023 seeking restoration of electricity supply connection and the same has not been considered by the 3rd respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel (TNEB), who is 2/5
taking notice for the respondents, would submit that if fresh representation is submitted to the 3rd respondent, the same will be considered in accordance with law.
5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the petitioner to submit a fresh copy of his representation dated 24.04.2023 before the 3rd respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The 3rd respondent shall consider the same and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a further period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of such representation.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
