This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025.

2. This case was registered in Cr.No.183 of 2018 for the alleged offence u/s.4(1)(aaa) of TN Prohibition Act. The allegation in this case is that on 20.09.2018, the accused was found in possession of 110 litres Pondy Arrack. The accused is facing the case since 2018 and it impinges upon his right to speedy trial. 3. Accordingly, the proceedings in C.C.No.12 of 2019 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Sirkali, Sirkali Taluk, Mayiladuthurai stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
