ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case in Cr.No.673 of 2006 was registered on 26.09.2006 for the alleged offence under Section 397 I.P.C. The occurrence is of the year 2006. It is stated that the accused attempted to rob money that is carried by the defacto complainant by threatening and also attacking with an Aruvaal. The defacto complainant has also subsequently died.
3.Considering the factual matrix, context of the case, the reason for Page No.1 of 3
absence from his usual place, and the submission that, despite best efforts, the summons could not be served and consequently, warrant is pending and the matter has been pending since 2006, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served.
4.Accordingly, the case in PRC No.39 of 2007 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Sirkali, Sirkali Taluk, Mayiladuthurai, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.
