PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the Special Court for trial of cases under the SC/ST Act, Cuddalore to consider the bail Application on the same day favourably in the event of their surrender in Crime No.347 of 2023 on the file of the Cuddalore Police Station.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking direction to consider the Bail application of the petitioners herein, who apprehends arrest for the offence under SC/ST Act.

2. The prayer sought in this petition cannot be entertained in view of Section 15A of the SC/ST Act, which mandates notice to the defacto complainant. It is open to the petitioner to file an application before the Court below and seek appropriate remedy.
