The petitioner, a Private Limited Company challenges order passed by the 2nd respondent, the Superintending Engineer, Thiruvannamalai Electricity Distribution Circle dated 19.04.2017 imposing electricity charges in respect of HTSC.No.59. The only submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner is that the business has been transferred on 05.01.2015 and hence the liability now raised must be enforced upon the purchaser.
2.The petitioner had also submitted on earlier occasions that there were disputes between itself and the purchaser that had been referred to arbitration before the Hon'ble Ms.Justice K.B.K.Vasuki (Retired). However, the fate of the arbitration is unknown as on date and learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to throw any light on this aspect of the matter. Since no legal infirmity is made out as regards the impugned order, the same is sustained. 3.This writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
