ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.

This case is registered for alleged offence punishable under 420, 406 & 407 of IPC. This is an occurrence of the year 1999. The case against A1 was split up and after dealing with the case in C.C.No.326 of 2000, it ended in acquittal. The matter is pending for service of summon and thereafter Page No.1 of 3

execution of warrant against A2 and A3. It can be seen that since the case has been dealt with on merits and A1 against whom the allegations are also similar has been acquitted, no useful purpose will be served, no meaningful trial is possible, the right to speedy trial of the accused will also be violated, even if they bring to face trial, hereafter.

Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.68 of 2020 of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Vikravandi, Vikaravandi Taluk, Villupuram is quashed and consequently, this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 10.09.2025 veda electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned. Page No.2 of 3
