2. Heard Mr.P.Gurunathan, Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The case of the Petitioner is that she has been working as Anganwadi Assistant in Karivedu Centre - II, Kaveripakkam Block, Vellore District from 30.04.2014 onwards, but no remuneration has been paid to her. In proof of having worked, she has produced a certificate from one V.Selvi, W/o Williams, Supervisor. In that backdrop, the Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondents to consider the representation dated 16.10.2017 made by her for appointment to the post of Cook Assistant in Centre - II, Kaveripakkam Block, Vellore District.

The Respondents have filed Counter-Affidavit dated 19.12.2017 contending that the Petitioner was never employed as claimed by her and there is no provision for engaging the service of any person without following proper procedure or paying remuneration. Insofar as the letter given by the said V.Selvi is concerned, it is highlighted that she has no authority in that regard for which disciplinary action would be initiated against her. Having regard to the aforesaid contentions raised by the Respondents, the claim of the Petitioner does not have any merit.

In such circumstances, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
