The petitioner in Crime No.466 of 2023, registered under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) and 14 A of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.It is stated that the respondent had arrested A2, who was driving a Mahendra Xylo Car, which was following another vehicle. The Car was intercepted and the drivers were arrested. They were found in possession of 3936 bottles of Puducherry Arrack 180 ML - 192 Nos liquor bottles and 20 litres of illicit arrack. There are eight previous cases against the petitioner herein. It is stated that on the confession of the other accused, the name of the petitioner has been implicated. 3.Taking all the factors into consideration, particularly, the huge quantity of the liquor seized and that there are eight previous cases against the petitioner herein, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
