Respondent Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the Advertisement No.08/2002 published in The Hindu in the month of August 2002 and consequently quash the same as regards appointment of Diploma Engineer/Trainee (S1) No.of posts 17, Serial No.2 and further direct the respondent to give preference in employment to the persons, who have undergone apprenticeship trainee under the Apprentices Act 1961 of the respondent Corporation for the period from 1.4.1995 to 31.3.1996.

ORDER

When the matters were listed for hearing on 24.2.2015, no one appeared for the petitioners. So the matter was directed to be listed today (25.2.2015) under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even today, when the matters were called, no one appeared for the petitioners, although the learned counsel for the respondent Corporation was present. Therefore, finding the repeated non appearance of the petitioners' counsel, the writ petitions are dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, W.P.M.P.Nos.64679 & 64680 of 2002 are also dismissed. No costs.
