JUDGMENT

This criminal appeal has been preferred against the judgment of acquittal passed in favour of the respondent/accused dated 09.03.2023 in STC.No.602 of 2018 on the file of the learned Fast Track Court (Magisterial Level), Poonamallee.

On perusal of records, it is revealed that while adjourning

this criminal appeal by this Court on 18.08.2025, this Court recorded that the learned counsel one, A.Karthik, who filed this criminal appeal had already given change of vakalat and subsequently, another counsel one, V.Athikesavan filed vakalat for the appellant. Therefore the Registry was directed to print the name 'V.Athikesavan' as the counsel for the appellant. Accordingly, the name was printed in the cause list. 3.

Even then, when this matter was called today, there was no representation on behalf of the appellant. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to proceed with the matter. As such, this criminal appeal is liable to be dismissed for default.
