ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.08.2025 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 308(5) and 351(2) of BNS, in Crime No.241 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The allegation is that the petitioner threatened the defacto complainant and extorted a sum of Rs.1,000/-. Based on the complaint, the petitioner was arrested on 21.08.2025.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a false complaint has been lodged by the defacto complainant and he prayed for bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reported that the petitioner is involved in 9 previous cases of which, five cases were ended in acquittal, three cases were pending and one is under among Section 302 of IPC.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
