ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the application filed on 02.02.2022 before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Gobichettipalayam, for the property with the S.F. No.1080/20 (Old S.F. No.440/5) and to issue Patta in accordance with law, within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 02.02.2022 within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court. 3.Mrs.Senthil Selvi, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents submitted that the respondents may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.02.2022 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the 2/5

petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application/representation dated 02.02.2022 and conduct enquiry and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and interested parties/rival claimants if any, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
