The petitioners herein apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 115(2), 351(1) of BNS R/W Sec 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, in Crime No.675 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail. 1/4

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners herein trespassed into the house of the de-facto complainant under the guise of settling a money dispute and attacked the de-facto complainant, causing injury. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner are innocent persons and have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners, reiterated the prosecution case.

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6.This Court, on perusing the F.I.R and the injuries sustained by the defacto complainant, is of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioners is required. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 15.09.2025 nvi 2/4
