Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of petitioner dated 03.11.2023 and consequently directing the respondents to pay additional charge allowance for working as additional charge food safety officer to Sriperumbudur Block from 10.01.2022 to till date. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.11.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is working as Food Safety Officer in Kundrathur Block. He has been appointed as full additional charge Food Safety Officer of Sriperumbudur Block by the proceeding dated 06.01.2022. Now the petitioner seeks additional charge allowance for holding as additional charge as Food Safety Officer to Sriperumbudur Block and submitted a representation.

4. A perusal of the proceeding dated 06.01.2022 reveals that the additional charge functions will be discharged as per the same norms and duties of regular charge i.e., daily reports and follow up of filing

cases and Court cases. Therefore, the petitioner is not entitled for additional charge allowance.

5. In view of the above, this Writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
