Criminal Original petitions filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records in Crime No.46 of 2019 on the file of the 1st respondent Namakkal Town Police Station, Namakkal District and quash as far as the petitioner/accused is concerned.

COMMON ORDER The Criminal Original Petitions have been filed to call for the records in Crime No.46 of 2019 on the file of the 1st respondent Namakkal Town Police Station, Namakkal District and quash as far as the petitioners/accused are concerned.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are teachers and they have made demand for certain reliefs on behalf of JACTO-GEO and they have not committed any offence. He further submitted that already one of the accused (A10) P.Karthikeyan has filed Crl.O.P.No.22800 of 2019 to quash the F.I.R against him and the same was allowed by this Court by an order dated 26.08.2019 and the petitioners herein also on the same footing and their case cannot be differentiated from the case of A10 and therefore he prayed to quash the F.I.R against the said petitioners also.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) has fairly conceded that this Court in Crl.O.P.No.22800 of 2019 which was filed by one Karthikeyan (A10) has quashed the F.I.R against him.

4. Since this Court has already quashed the F.I.R against one of the accused namely P.Karthikeyan in Crl.O.P.No.22800 of 2019, this Court of the view that the same relief can be extended to these petitioners also.

Accordingly, these petitions are allowed.

5. F.I.R. in Crime No.46 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police is quashed insofar as the petitioners herein are concerned.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
