O R D E R
The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.06.2025 for the alleged offence under Section 10 r/w 9(f), 9(m) of POCSO Act, 2012 in Crime No.17 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein, a Teacher 1/4
in the Panchayat Union Middle School, Thirukadayur, Mayiladuthurai District was arrested on 21.06.2025 for sexually harassing the minor school children. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any such as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 21.06.2025. He is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that seven children have given statement against this petitioner for his acts of sexual harassment, the final report has been filed. He further submitted that the petitioner's earlier bail application was dismissed by this Court on 20.08.2025. Further, if the petitioner is released on bail, there is every possibility of tampering the witness. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, seven children have given statement against this petitioner for his acts of sexual harassment, his previous bad antecedents and also taking note of the fact that there is no change of circumstances after the dismissal of the petitioner's earlier bail petition, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 16.09.2025 Vv To
