Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to renew/re-issue the Passport bearing Nos.G1949731 and G2076149 of the petitioner and her minor daughter viz., SAFWAA SERIN [F/11], D/o. Syed Abdul Khader based upon the application dated 17.03.2016.

O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to renew/re-issue the Passport bearing Nos.G1949731 and G2076149 of the petitioner and her minor daughter viz., SAFWAA SERIN [F/11], D/o. Syed Abdul Khader based upon the application dated 17.03.2016.

2. Today (30.06.2021), when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the Passports of the petitioner and her minor daughter were renewed by the first respondent and therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
