ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.857 of 1990 for an alleged offence under Section 307, 506 (i), 323, r/w 511 IPC and 307 r/w 109 IPC r/w 34 of IPC. The occurrence is said to have taken place on 24.08.1990. The mother case proceeded further and resulted in an acquittal. The grounds for acquittal also apply to the present accused. The matter has been pending for the execution of the warrant. Now, 35 years have gone by. Considering the factual matrix, the context of the case, the background of the accused, the reason for his absence at his place of residence, and the submission made that, despite best efforts, the warrant could not be executed, it is clear that even if the accused faces trial, no useful purpose would be served. 3. Accordingly, the proceedings in PRC.No.200033/1999 of Judicial Magistrate No.1 Court, Arakkonam Taluk, Ranipet, is closed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
