Alleging that, there is no progress in the investigation of the suspicious death of the petitioner's husband, present petition is filed for change of Investigation Agency.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that, dead body of the petitioner's husband was recovered from the river. Viscera Report sent for analysis is awaited. Once the VISCERA report is ready, final report will be filed.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, deceased wife has made a representation to the Sub Inspector of Police, Nagapattinam and Inspector of Police, Keelaiyur Police Station furnishing information about the events which took place prior to the death of her husband and she has suspected five known persons and named them in her representation had sought for change of investigation and to alter the offence under Section 302 of IPC. He further submitted that inspite of external injuries found on the body of the deceased, police has not proceeded line of information furnished by the petitioner in her representation dated 07.11.2023.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) in this regard 2/4

submitted that, representation not yet received. If the petitioner gives fresh representation containing the information to the Investigating Officer, same will be probed into.

5. In the light of the above facts, this Court is of the view that, it is appropriate to direct the Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam to supervise the investigation and consider the information provided by the petitioner herein and proceed further.

6. With the above observations and directions, this Criminal Petition is disposed of.
