ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 02.07.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 311 and 351(3) of BNS in Crime No.473 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused had demanded money from the defacto complainant, who is a juice seller and while he refused, the petitioner along with other accused abused, assaulted and threatened the defacto complainant of dire consequences. It is further stated that the petitioner and other accused had robbed a sum of Rs.640/- from the defacto complainant at knife point. Hence, this case.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and sought for bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and states that the petitioner has 9 previous cases of similar nature; and that the investigation is pending. 5.

Heard the learned counsels and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts of the case and previous antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 7.

Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 16.09.2025 stn K. RAJASEKAR, J.
