PRAYER:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 31.5.2024 requesting the 1st and 2nd respondent cancel the patta No.326 issued in the name of Veerabathiran in respect of the lands measuring an extent of 22.26 Ares (55 cents), situated in survey No. 160/2A1A1A Thazambur village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District in accordance with law within the time to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.5.2024 requesting them to cancel the patta No.326 issued in the name of Veerabathiran in respect of the lands measuring an extent of 22.26 Ares (55 cents), situated in survey No. 160/2A1A1A Thazambur village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

2.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner made a representation on 31.05.2024, to measure the petitioner's property, till date the same has not been considered by the respondents 1 and 2. Hence, he prayed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2024. 4.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that already enquiry has been conducted based on the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2024 and the orders will be passed within a period of six weeks.

5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

6.Considering the submissions made by either parties, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
