A. No.1587 of 2024 in C.S. No.36 of 2022 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J This application has been filed to condone the delay of 601 days in filing the written statement by the defendant in C.S.No.36 of 2022.

In the affidavit filed in support of the judge's summons, it had been stated that the documents relating to the plaint are very old and there was a delay in searching and locating them and thereafter, instructions have been given to the counsel to prepare the written statement.

Taking all the factors into consideration, the application stands allowed, delay is condoned and written statement of the defendant is to be taken on record.
