ORDER

This petition has been filed to modify the condition No.6(1) imposed by the learned Special Court for EC and NDPS Act, Salem in Crl.M.P.No.682/2025 dated 01.09.2025.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is poor and he is unable to produce the sureties for Rs.25,000/- and the condition that the sureties should be parents or close relatives or close friends is onerous condition thereby he prayed to modify the condition.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) would submit that already bail was granted with some condition and he has not seriously objected.

4. Considering the representation made by both side counsels, the fact that petitioner could not arrange the sureties for Rs.25,000/- and the condition imposed by the Lower Court that to the effect that the sureties should be parents or close relatives or close friends are necessary is onerous, this Court is inclined to modify the condition to the effect that the petitioner/accused should execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with 2 sureties for a like sum to the satisfaction of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tirupathur and in other aspects, the conditions imposed by the Lower Court are intact.
