Mr.S.Sugendran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse order is being passed as against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2024 and to grant Police protection to his property situated at Kannarampattu, Ootruvaikal, survey Nos.71/3, 3/5, 3/6 measuring to an extent of 2 acre, for erecting water pipeline in the said property.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has obtained necessary permission from the Irrigation Department for erecting the pipeline in his property, however, the third respondent is disturbing the same.

4. It is seen that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent, which is purely civil in nature. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to give any positive direction to the respondents 1 2/4

and 2/Police to provide adequate Police protection, as it is for the petitioner to work out his remedy before the competent Civil Court in the manner known to law.

5. In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
