The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 18.08.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 296(b), 140(2), 308(3) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.339 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2. According to the prosecution, the petitioner has abducted the defacto complainant and his wife at knife point threatening them to execute documents pertaining to the property they broke open the house and removed certain documents.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner has one previous case against him.

3. Considering the gravity of the crime and the stage of investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
