ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks direction to the respondent to consider her application dated 16.08.2024, seeking electricity service connection for her property situated in survey No.97/643 in Koratti Village, Tiruppathur Taluk and District.

It is the case of the petitioner that 1.16 acres of land in Survey No.97/64 in the said Koratti Village was originally owned by one V.A.Subbarayoan and his sons, who sold the same to one A.Kavitha and others, vide sale deed dated 23.02.2012. Out of 1.16 acres of land, the petitioner purchased 47 cents from the said Kavitha, vide sale deed dated 12.12.2018 and for the same, patta was also issued in her name. Later, the petitioner sold 37 1/2 cents of land to the third party and she is in possession of the remaining 7 1/2 cents of land by constructing house thereon.
3. It is contended by the petitioner that she submitted an application on 16.08.2024 before the respondents seeking electricity
service connection for her house along with the supporting documents as well as the certificate issued by the Village Administrative Officer. However, the said application has not been considered by the respondent and hence, she filed the present writ petition.

Mr.S.Madhusudanan, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondent, on instruction, submitted that the respondent sent a communication to the petitioner on 19.08.2024, directing the petitioner to produce the current revenue records and ownership certificate, etc. and the same has not been complied with by the petitioner. Therefore, her application has not been processed.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready to produce the current revenue records before the respondent within a period of four weeks.
6. As far as the ownership certificate insisted by the respondent is concerned, the petitioner has already produced sale deed in her favour. Therefore, there is no question of producing any ownership certificate
by the petitioner. The registered sale deed in favour of the petitioner and the patta issued in her are sufficient to establish her ownership of the property.
7. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to produce current revenue records before the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such records, the respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner, seeking electricity service connection and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of the four weeks from the date of receipt of revenue records.
8. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
