the dilapidated endangering structure being a cremation ceremony building situate at By Pass Road, Keezhavely Village, Karaikal in light of the structural condition assessment report of the National Institute of Technology, Puducherry dated 23.05.2025 in NITPY/CIVIL/CON/2025/114 as sought vide representation dated 09.06.2025 and to construct cremation ceremony building in the existing cremation ground at Keezhavely Village, Karaikal. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned State counsel for respondents, on advance copy, informs the Court that the shed, which is in dilapidated condition, is now sealed and not being allowed to be used by anyone.

2. The report filed by fourth respondent is not under dispute. The shed is required to be demolished and a proper facility in its

place should be developed immediately, so that those who are using the cremation ground may be provided proper facility, which was earlier being provided under the dilapidated shed. This should be done as expeditiously as possible.
