ORDER
Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the Respondents 1 to 3 and Dr.T.Seenivasan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the fourth respondent. With consent of the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.08.2025.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was initially appointed as a Sanitary Supervisor on compassionate grounds and was subsequently promoted as a Sanitary Inspector. By order dated 19.05.2025, the second respondent had promoted other Sanitary Inspectors to the post of Sanitary Officer. However, the petitioner was not considered for promotion, despite having served as a Sanitary Inspector since 2017. Aggrieved by the same, he submitted a representation to the fourth respondent which was 2/5
forwarded to the second respondent along with a communication stating that the Corporation had approved the petitioner's transfer under Resolution No.966. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 09.08.2025 to the respondents, seeking transfer to his parent department of Town Panchayat and consideration of promotion. However, no action has been taken on the said representation till date. Hence, the present petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

Taking into consideration, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.08.2025 and pass orders, on its own merits, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits of the petitioner's claim.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No 3/5
costs.
