O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 14.10.2019, and to reconsider the appointment of the petitioner in any suitable post on compassionate grounds.

2.The case of the petitioner is that his mother who was working as a Cook in the Panchayat School, died in harness in the year 2005, leaving behind her husband and her five children. The petitioner being the male member, had applied for considering him for compassionate appointment. The 2nd respondent had rejected the claim of the petitioner on 1/4

21.08.2019. As against the same, the petitioner has given an appeal to the 1st respondent to reconsider and to give appointment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Heard Mr.V.Elangovan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for 1st respondent and Mr.G.B.Rajesh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the 2nd respondent. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the relief as sought for and without going into the merits, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 14.10.2019, and pass necessary orders strictly in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with a copy of the representation dated 14.10.2019, and a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
