O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to install the former Chief Minister Dr.J.Jayalalitha's statue in the petitioner's land on 11.12.2019 and to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 29.11.2019 and 08.12.2019.

2.The petitioner is the Deputy Secretary of Koliyanur Block, South Villupuram District, of a political party, namely Amma Makkal Munedra Kazhagam. He wanted to open an office of the said political party namely, Amma Makkal Munedra Kazhagam in his

own place situated at S.No.214/2, Eachankadu Village, Viradikuppam Punchayat, Villupuram. He had made necessary arrangements for the same and he sought for permission to open the office at his place from the respondents. 3.Heard, Mr.S.Ilamvaludhi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

4. It is seen that there cannot be any objection to open the office in the land owned by the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner is at liberty to open the office alone at the above mentioned address.

5. In the Writ petition, the petitioner has also mentioned that he would like to install a statue of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Ms.J.Jayalalitha, in the said place. The same cannot be permitted as on date, since the Government has to accord necessary sanction and it is for the Government to consider this issue. Therefore, though the writ petitioner has sought permission for installing the statue, this Court grants permission only to open the office, while giving liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the concerned authorities for permission to install the statue and if any such representation is given, it will be dealt with in accordance with law by the concerned authorities.

With the above observation, permission is granted to the limited extent i.e., for opening the office in the above mentioned address and with respect to installing the statue, the petitioner is permitted to give a fresh representation to the authorities concerned, who shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
