Heard Mr.P.Gurunathan, Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.
2. There is no representation for the Petitioner when the matter is called at 11.00 a.m. today.
3. The Petitioner in this Writ Petition has sought for a direction to consider the Petitioner for the vacant post of Anganwadi Worker in Virupatchipuram Gangaiamman Koil Street Centre, Vellore Taluk, Vellore District or in any other Anganwadi Centre.
4. The Third Respondent has filed Counter-Affidavit explaining that the post of Anganwadi Assistant in Virupatchipuram Gangaiamman Koil Street Centre, Vellore Taluk, Vellore District has been exclusively reserved for the General - Non priority - Ex-servicemen category as per communal roster in G.O. Ms. No. 142/P & AR Department dated 14.10.2009 and since none of the persons who had applied were eligible under the said category, it has been kept vacant. In respect of appointment to other Anganwadi Centres, it is stated that the Petitioner has to make application as and when notification is issued for filling up the vacancies and the same would be considered at that stage in accordance with law. In view of the aforesaid submissions made, it is not possible to grant the relief sought in the Writ Petition.
