[made by M.SUNDAR, J.] Mr. G. Shanmugam, learned counsel on record for sole writ petitioner and Mr. J. Kumaran, learned Additional Government Pleader for Union Territory of Puducherry for all the three respondents are before us.

Mr. G. Shanmugam, learned counsel, submits that the writ petitioner has since been favoured with a community certificate and therefore, the purpose of the captioned 'writ petition' (hereinafter 'WP' for the sake of brevity) has been served. Saying so, learned counsel has made an endorsement in the case file and a scanned reproduction of the same is as follows:
