ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.

S .Ramesh, J.) Pursuant to the interim order passed in W.M.P.No.37590 of 2025 in W.P.No.33460 of 2025, it is reported that the respondents herein had conducted the public auction on 15.09.2025, and the confirmation has been withheld.

2.The learned counsel for the appellant would submit that when their

application under Section 5 r/w 10 of the Tamilnadu Agricultural Land Records of Tenancy Rights Rules 1969, seeking for recording that a tenancy status was rejected, they have challenged the same before this Court in W.P.No.20162 of 2024 and the same is pending. 3.In this background, if the results of the public auction is to be declared, the very purpose for which the Writ Petition in W.P.No.20162 of 2024 has been filed would get defeated.

4.In this background, we are of the view that if both the Writ Petitions filed in W.P.No.20162 of 2024 and W.P.No.33460 of 2025 are heard and disposed of together, the ends of justice could be secured. However, since the interim order which is under challenge in this Writ Petition has already been complied with and auction has also been conducted, no interference is required to the same. 5.In light of the above observations, the learned Single Judge may

endeavour to finally dispose both Writ Petitions in W.P.No.20162 of 2024 and W.P.No.33460 of 2025 together as expeditiously as possible. Till such time, the status quo as on date with regard to the possession and the auction proceedings shall be maintained.

6.The Writ Appeal stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected C.M.P.No.23530 of 2025 is closed. (M.S.R,J.) (R.S.V,J.) 08-12-2025 kas Index; Yes / No Speaking / Non Speaking Order
