This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent to transfer the investigation on the file of the fourth respondent in respect of FIR No.232 of 2024 dated 25.10.2024 to CBCID, Dharmapuri or any other independent investigating agency not below the rank of Superintendent of Police.
2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
3. Considering the limited scope of the matter and having regard 3/7
to the submissions made on both sides, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents-Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.232 of 2024 dated 25.10.2024 and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Superintendent of Police, Dharmapuri District is directed to monitor the investigation.
This Writ Petition is disposed of, accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
