Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide police protection and evict all the employees who propose to hold stayin- and hunger strike from inside the factory premises of the petitioner.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide police protection and evict all the employees who propose to hold stay-in- and hunger strike from inside the factory premises of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents 1 &2. No Appearance on behalf of the 3rd respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner seeks police protection and evict all the employees who propose to hold stay-in-hunger strike from inside the petitioner's factory premises. Now, almost two years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
