O R D E R
The petitioners herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(C) r/w 1/6
4(1-A) of TNP Amendment Act, 2024 in Crime No.190 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged illegal possession of 10 bottles of Blue Grape Brandy each containing 90 ml and 4 bottles of Mclene Brandy each containing 180 ml. The petitioner was selling Pondy liquor on dry day without proper licence and made loss to the Government. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that this petitioner is an habitual offender and there are 16 previous cases of similar in nature pending against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the said fact and being an habitual offender, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
