Respondents Prayer: Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records relating to the detention order in Memo No.799/BCDFGISSSV/2019 dated 20.11.2019 passed by the 2nd respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same and direct the respondent to produce the petitioner's son Thiru. Ajeezullah, S/o. Syed Jamal, aged about 24 years, the detenu, now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Hon'ble Court and set the petitioner's son Thiru. Ajeezullah, S/o. Syed Jamal, aged about 24 years, the detenu herein set him liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in No.799/BCDFGISSSV/2019 dated 20.11.2019 detaining his son as "Drug Offender", as contemplated under Section 2(e) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.70 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 07.01.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
