Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioners from the date of their initial appointment with all monetary and service benefits.

ORDER

With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The limited prayer sought for in this writ petition for a direction to the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioners from the date of their initial appointment with all monetary and service benefits.

3. The issue as to whether the service of the petitioners can be regularized or not is a decision to be taken by the authorities, based on factual aspects and this Court may not be justified in stepping into the shoes of the respondents. Nevertheless, if the petitioners are granted liberty to give a fresh representation to the authorities in this regard, with a consequential direction to the authorities to consider the same, the ends of justice could be secured.

4. In the light of the above observations, the petitioners herein are granted liberty to give a fresh representation to the first respondent herein ventilating their grievances, along with a copy of their earlier joint representation dated 21.08.2017, together with any of the documents which they rely upon, as expeditiously as possible and on receipt of such a representation, the first respondent shall consider the same, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
