Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to enquire into complainants so as to give police protection to the property M/s.Jayanthi Cinema Talkies, having its address at No.64/68, Seven Wells Street, Nandambakkam, Chennai - 600 016.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to enquire into their complainants so as to give police protection to the property M/s.Jayanthi Cinema Talkies, having its address at No.64/68, Seven Wells Street, Nandambakkam, Chennai - 600 016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since no adverse order is being passed against the respondents 3 and 4, notice to the respondents 3 and 4 is dispensed with. 2/5

4. Since the dispute is civil in nature, this Court cannot give any direction for police protection.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.

6. The connected Miscellaneous Petition in W.M.P. No.39688 of 2024 filed for payment of single court fee, is dismissed.

7. The petitioners are at liberty to work out their remedy before the pending proceedings.
